15 things to do in the Eurobodalla this summer! Dec 31: Broulee New Year’s Eve sand modelling competition. North Broulee Beach. $5 per entry. Entry can be for one person, or a team. Categories are ‘Sculpture’; ‘Sandcastle’; and ‘Junior’ (Not yet at high school).

Jan 1: Yee-ha! Start the New Year in rip-snorting style at the Moruya Rodeo. Noon to midnight at the Moruya Showground.

Jan 4: Enjoy a free guided walk at the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens, between Batemans Bay and Mogo. Starts 11am

Fri Jan 2,9,16 and 23: Markets and local bands on the foreshore at Batemans Bay. Take a blanket and enjoy the delights!

Jan 4: Art on the Path, Broulee. 8am-noon. Be inspired by local artists who recycle discarded materials to create new treasures.

Jan 10 and 11: Big Air Tri-Series. Noon to 4pm. Council’s championship skate, scooter and BMX event for all ages and abilities. South Durras Saturday, Narooma Sunday.

Jan 10 & 17: Cinema under the stars at Reflections Barlings Beach. Pack a picnic blanket or deckchairs and enjoy the free show. Refreshments available.

Jan 12: Creative collage at Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma libraries. 10am. Create your own landscapes using recycled materials. Free, just drop in.

Jan 12, 13, 20: Free saving water in the garden workshops. 10am. Water saving tips to keep your garden alive and green this summer. Bookings essential 0244 741 000. Bodalla Nursery, Greenlands NurseryMoruya and Bushy’s Bloomin’ Things Batemans Bay.

Jan 18: Hoopfest 3 on 3. Kyla Park basketball court, Tuross Head. Bring your own team of three or join a team on the day. You could win a basketball signed by Australian Opals player Lauren Jackson. Free.

Jan 24 & 25: Eurobodalla District Show. Moruya Showground from 9am. Pavilion displays, ring events, pet show, side show alley and much more.
