This Saturday night, Mary Ann Reserve at Mannum will be filled with song as the Mannum Interchurch Council hold their Carols by the River.
Pre-event entertainment will start at 7.30pm with songs from a Murray Bridge choir, before the carols kick off from 8pm.
Lead singer of local band The Mamboobies, Inala Preston, will lead other people at the performance and Father Herd from Murray Bridge’s Holy Redeemer Catholic Church will give a Christmas message.
Carols committee member Dulcie Pfeiffer said Father Christmas would make an appearance.
“It’s a family night and the weather looks like it’ll be good, so people can come out and get in the Christmas spirit,” she said.
On Sunday, Tailem Bend will play host to Carols Under the Stars, held at the Tailem Bend Christian Centre on Jacob Street.
A gold coin donation tea and children’s games will be held from 6.30pm, and at 8pm both local and Adelaide residents will perform carols.
Also on Sunday, carols will sound throughout the hall at Meningie Area School from 8pm for a gold coin donation.
Guests are being asked to bring along along a battery-operated candle or a torch for safety reasons, or LED lights will be available for purchase on the night.
People were encouraged to take a chair, picnic rug and blanket to each event.
